What DatingDex says

Taste walks the line between casual and considered — bottles you can actually browse while deciding what to order, without the sommelier-stare pressure. The Chattahoochee Row setting gives it just enough outdoor-adjacent energy to keep things from feeling too locked-in.

Taste Wine Bar and Market is one of the top first date spots in Buckhead. At a moderate price point, it fits well when you want a first date feel without guesswork.

Yeppa & Co. - Buckhead

Buckhead energy without the Buckhead attitude

Yeppa & Co. pulls off something rare in this zip code — a 4.8 with nearly 7,000 reviews that doesn't feel like it's coasting on hype. The $$ price point keeps things relaxed enough that you're not performing, but the Buckhead Ave address means your date will still feel like you picked somewhere.

The Southern Gentleman

Southern charm with enough edge to keep it interesting

The Southern Gentleman does comfort food with conviction — think smoked meats, elevated biscuits, and a bourbon list that gives you something to talk about. Buckhead location means valet-friendly energy without the stuffiness, and the warm lighting does the work without trying too hard.

Delbar - Buckhead

Persian small plates, candlelight, and zero chance of an awkward silence

Delbar does Middle Eastern food the right way — sharable plates of tahdig, lamb kofte, and whipped feta that give you something to talk about and reach across the table for. Buckhead's going to Buckhead, but this spot earns its rating without being smug about it.

Amalfi Cucina + Mercato

Buckhead Italian that actually earns it

Amalfi pulls off something rare on Peachtree — a mid-price Italian spot that feels polished without the stuffiness. Order the burrata, split a pasta or two, and let the warm lighting do the rest.

Buckhead's most transportive room — Spain and Morocco had a beautiful baby

Gypsy Kitchen earns its reputation with genuinely bold Spanish-Moroccan small plates — the octopus is the move, the patatas bravas are the safety net. The space is dramatic without being loud, which is a rare combo for Buckhead, and the shared-plates format does all the conversational heavy lifting for you.

Buckhead's date-night workhorse with actual personality

Beso lands in that sweet spot where the effort reads clearly without making anyone feel like they're auditioning — good lighting, a menu worth talking about, and enough ambient energy to smooth over first-date nerves. It's not trying to be the fanciest room in Buckhead, which is exactly why it works.
